Di dalam kurun waktu 25 tahun terakhir ini terjadi empat krisis besar dengan dampak global dan luas, mempengaruhi sendi-sendi perbankan dunia. Bila tidak ada intervensi dari pemerintah, maka bank-bank raksasa sudah menjadi sejarah. Impak dari krisis ekonomi pada saat ini sudah dialami hampir di seluruh dunia, termasuk Indonesia. Walaupun demikian, apa yang dialami di Indonesia saat ini masih jauh lebih baik daripada negara-negara ASEAN lainnya. Secara khusus, seminar ini akan membahas kondisi perekonomian Indonesia terutama di dalam tiga faktor: ekonomi makro, sektor perbankan, dan sektor riil. Apa jawaban bagi krisis global ini?

Profile pembicara:

Tandean is the founder and president and director of PT. Arwana Citramulia, Tbk. His goal is to guide Arwana to become one of the best companies in Indonesia in the industry of ceramic floor and wall tiles; best in term of revenue, best in term of profit, but more importantly best in terms of ethical standards.

Under his leadership, the company grew twelve-fold from 1993 to 2007 in terms of revenue and was selected by Forbes Magazine edition November 2006 as one of the 200 "Best Under a Billion" companies listed in Asia Pacific Region. Awards and citations received from other mass media in Indonesia. However, Rustandy is passionate about integrity and intends to demonstrate leadership in Indonesia in terms of developing and maintaining a code of conduct and ethics in his company and help lead the way to turning around Indonesia's reputation in this area. He also believes in giving back to the community in which he lives.

He has Bachelor of Science from University of Colorado, Boulder and Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Chicago Booth School of Business, University of Chicago. In 1987, Tandean was awarded "Honorary Citizen of Boulder, Colorado" and in 2002, he was awarded "Young Entrepreneur of the year" by Ernst & Young Entrepreneur.
